My parents and I were coming back from Joseph, Oregon, in 1997, when we stopped near John Day late in the afternoon. The sun and shadow were just right for taking photos for potential paintings. This scene really attracted me with the old barn and quiet meadow being watched over by the apple tree. (View Larger Image)
