This piece (along with "Mustard Troupe") was especially fun to paint. Although influenced by photographs, they contain a lot of artistic license. I felt free while painting these subjects to use broad spontaneous brush strokes along with spattering here and there. These, for me, are some of the fun parts of painting. As for the subject matter, it became a repeated one for me because I saw so many ways for the shades of bright yellow to interact with the various intense greens. (View Larger Image)
